Working in the live entertainment industry for over 10 years has gained Nathan a wealth of knowledge for stage and performance lighting. For many years he has traveled around the country working with hundreds of moving lights on projects as a technician and console programmer for such corporate clientele as Sony Playstation, the Opening/Closing Ceremonies of the Special Olympics, Nike, Hyundai Automotive, GM Automotive, CISCO Systems, INTEL and Acclaim Entertainment.

Other notable live performances are Natalie Cole, the E.T. 20 th Anniversary World Premiere Party, The AIDS Project of LA, The Peoples Church of Fresno, and the Evangelical Free Church of Fresno. Recent outstanding projects include: a tradeshow booth for Sony Playstation with 680 moving lights, over 400 conventional fixtures and 300 strobes where Nathan served as an assistant production electrician as well as a moving light programmer; a Christmas production for The Peoples Church of Fresno, California, where he served as a technical director, special effects creator, head rigger, lighting designer, and console operator. 

Nathan has recently become the founder and owner of Broken Jar Productions, Inc. Through BJP, Nathan has become a leading consultant and designer for permanent lighting installations in the California Central Valley. Using his continuing experience in the live entertainment industry, he has a strong basis for integrating detailed lighting design with state-of-the-art lighting equipment to achieve great functionality and performance of any sized venue. Installations have ranged from small 200 seat houses of worship to 3,200 seat mega-churches and casinos. A recent noteworthy project is The Peoples Church of Fresno, California, where Nathan has designed and installed three separate lighting systems in two facilities involving dimmers, console and architectural control, hundreds of conventional fixtures as well as moving lights and complete systems integration. Other areas of expertise include outdoor architectural lighting design/installation and overhead rigging. Rigging lighting trusses, audio cabinets, video screens and projectors for both temporary and permanent installations is a great joy of Nathan’s and he continues to make every effort to install highly rated products and materials. Safety and simplicity is of his highest concerns.
