kennedy, founder of worship space
As the founder and the group CEO, David Kennedy is responsible for establishing the strategic direction and administration for Worship Space.
After completing his studies in music and audio engineering, David began his pro-audio career in 1980 as the owner and audio engineer of Sound Advice. He has since served as the Senior Acoustics and Audio Systems Consultant for PLA of San Francisco and MGA of Fresno.
CONSULTING SERVICES
David's expertise includes the design of architectural acoustics, custom loudspeaker clusters, sound reinforcement/playback, video display, network and other low voltage systems. Representative projects include auditoria, churches, conference, performing arts and other commercial facilities. His designs include computer modeling, drawings and written specifications for A/V systems as well as the coordination of these services with the architectural and electro-mechanical requirements of the new system. He reviews bid submittals and provides installation supervision, inspection, adjustment, training and operation of sound systems. His specialty is the design of custom, state-of-the-art loudspeaker clusters for large assembly spaces.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
David has personally designed and supervised the installation of sound reinforcement systems for hundreds of assembly spaces. He has also provided sound mixing services for concert tours, "mega" churches and recording projects. Recent projects include programming, design, contract documents and administration for Southeast Christian Church; a multi-million dollar digital A/V systems project, servicing a 760,000 sq. ft. campus in Louisville. David’s responsibilities have included design of premium quality sound, video and control systems for a variety of assembly spaces. He has provided consulting services to architects, engineers, churches, manufacturers, owners and other organizations in need of technical systems design services.
David began his career in the professional sound industry in 1980 as the owner and lead designer of Sound Advise; he successfully operated his business for seven years. With the goal of expand-ing his professional capability and expertise, he gained invaluable experience as an A/V systems designer for His Sound of Fresno and Paoletti Associates of San Francisco. In 1991, he founded David Kennedy & Associates. David also served as the Senior Acoustics and A/V Systems Consultant for Michael Garrison Associates of Fresno, for several years.
